Attitude.

Yup promoting Nike here. But seriously, if you are in front of something or someone that intimidates you or might intimidate you eventually, then the way to go about succeeding in it is to just jump in it like it wasn't even there. Meaning not giving your mind the time to process this feeling called "FEAR".

Because the longer you take to think about the possibilities of the things that could possibly go wrong, the more you are indulging in the doubt that "you can't do it". Which obviously you don't want, so jump in it less like you're gonna totally blow it and you can't do this but more like you're the best in the world and with a "suicide" type of attitude, ready to kill everyone in your path with your sheer awesomeness without giving it a second thought.

Now if you are prepared for the speech or that skydive meaning you have memorized it the words and have all the gear ready, then there is nothing stopping you from going out there and killing it other than your own doubts which will slowly set in the more time you give them, so don't give them that time. The first time of trying this is usually the hardest, but once you perform it off successfully then it will become a habit for you.

Personally, how i stay calm in pretty much every stressful situation is that i just pretend(and quite efficiently too) that whatever is about to happen isn't actually happening so i have all the time in the world to get myself ready, weather that's fixing my already almost perfect hairstyle or chewing that gum for a last couple of seconds before spitting it out for the extra fresh breath even though i might be running a minute late. I stay calm because i'm good quite good at pretending, and it brings the excitement to your life.

Follow this and you are one step closer to becoming the most successful version of yourself.
