Patience

Perhaps the most distinguishing quality I believe that exists in the minds of the hyper successful is the ability to see past the current situation that they find themselves in, and look down the road or path towards the future in next week or next month.

To find their patience in seeing that the actions that they are taking today will have an accumulative impact on their life greater than anything else over the course of months and years. It is not an esoteric quality that only a few of us are gifted, this great quality lies within all of us. We must realize it and utilize it every single day.

Success is the accumulation of good habits done everyday over the course of months and years. Failure is the accumulation of bad habits repeated everyday over the course of months and years.

Nothing magical happens over night. True. Failure doesn't get produced over night either. You have to be making conscious or unconscious efforts everyday to sabotage your success in order for you to fail over and over gain.

But most people never look at that, they never realize that the small decisions or mistakes they are making in their lifestyle and daily routine can have such an enormous impact. But it does, yeah sure not at the end of the first day. But over the course of months those tiny mistakes will accumulate into disaster. Just because disaster doesn't strike you at the end of the first day, doesn't mean that disaster isn't coming.

I implore you to get after it and align all the little decisions in your life with your goals and dreams, whatever doesn't fit, DISCARD and instead install something that will fit you goals and dreams and help you in the long run.

Early wake up

Perhaps one of the most important quality that is found in successful people is their habit to wake up early and get things done.

The early wake up is usually an hour or so before everyone else, like 4 or 5 am. Some even go as far as 2 or 3 am. It all lies in understanding where your priorities lie in life, if your reasoning and goals are important enough then you will find a way to wake up early and schedule your routine around your priorities.

So i implore you to stop scheduling our life around priorities that contribute little to nothing to your life and start adjusting your compass towards the righteous path, towards the path that will lead you to victory.

An Apple A Day

The age old concept of eating an apple a day to keep the doctor away, underlined within it a secret to success. That repeating a good habit every single day will multiply your chances of succeeding in the long run.

In comparison consider the case if instead of an apple it was a Hershey bar a day? What would the result be in 2 years, 4 years or 6 years if you kept eating a Hershey bar a day everyday? What would be the money cost be? the Health cost?

Most of us are living our lives today are failing or are unhappy due to an accumulation of this very simple mistake, because you have to look past the notion of "hey, i'm only eating this Hershey bar today". You have to be brighter than that, and be wise enough to look down the road as see where today's decision will lead you in 8 months time.

This apple vs a Hershey bar principle applies to all of us, it could be as simple as eating out instead of cooking at home, choosing to get soda instead of water, choosing to watch TV instead of reading a book and going to sleep, going out with friends instead of finishing your chores or homework, or even staying in bed an extra 20-30 minutes in the morning looking at your phone and then becoming frustrated because you are running late for work.

It's the accumulation of these simple mistakes repeated every single day over the course of weeks and months that will take it's toll on your body, your mind and your life. You might not see it on the first today but that's the wisdom life has given us that makes us better than all the other animals in the world.

Be better than who you were yesterday, make the change TODAY!

Heaven inside of Hell

The world we live in is a very depressing place, full of negativity and despair. Everywhere we look we find people breeding negativity and fear among themselves. The world is hell! Full of uncertainty about the present and the future, and living in an uncertain world surely takes its toll on all of us.

So my invitation to you is to create your heaven within this hell that we live in. Create the life that you dream about, create it with your own hands and hard work for if you wait for the world to bring it to you then the world will only deliver you more hell.

Discipline equals freedom. Decide now what you want out of this live and work on that until you create it. Use the momentum that you build day after day to propel you into your future, into your dreams and into your paradise.

Adapt

Adaptation is perhaps one of the most important aspects that describe a successful person. The ability to adapt to any situation regardless of where you are is what will separate the weak from the strong.

Nature has a similar system, where its the survival of the fittest. In the modern world, the term fittest is best described as someone who has the ability to survive any given situation without taking much damage or get killed.

So your goals should be to mentally and physically create and mold your new self into a person who is able to with hold immense amounts of  stress and pressure that the daily life provides, and if you think you have what it takes to do that, then take it to the next level! If your future lies in a big company then prepare your mind for all the pressure a corporate executive has to push through.

If your future lies in sports then prepare your mind and body for the pressure competitive and even professional sportsmen have to go through.

This rule of adaptation applies to everyone looking to get better. Preparation is the first step towards success, don't let fears hold you back from your ever changing future. Take it by the throat and make it yours!

I will leave you at the end with a quote, "Never let the sun catch you sleeping". Sleep on time and wake up early. You are most creative when you just woke up, use that initial 1-2 hours in the morning before you start your day to work on yourself. Do it consistently to see results.

No matter how difficult a task seems, never shy away from it. If you ever make a habit of running away from your problems then you will face the worst of enemies, depression and it will slowly swallow you day by day. So sleep adequately, work out often, socialize, live freely and keep moving forward, one step at a time towards your greatness!

Your happy place

Visualizing your goals is possibly the most important step you can ever take towards success, aside from the obvious work that is required.

Each night before going to sleep ask yourself this: What have I done today to get closer to my goals? What work have I put in?

Each morning after waking up ask yourself this: What is my plan to get the most out of today? What am i going to do to work on myself today?

During your lunch break or before work starts, show up early, then take 15 minutes to sit down somewhere quiet. It maybe in your car or in a separate room, even in the restroom you can stand still with your eyes closed and imagine yourself being your future self.

Imagine how it feels standing there 10, 20, 30 years from now when you have finally achieved your end goal. Whatever it may be. Imagine and create a detailed visualized picture of what that life would feel like if you were in it right now. This is your happy place.

Anytime you feel terrible, saddened, depressed, pay just 1 quick visit to your happy place. If you spend 10 minutes each day building and detailing each part of your happy place you will have a full world where you can wander and explore for 10 minutes each day.

There are countless accounts of successful people doing these visualizations and using the law of attraction to their advantage and sooner or later they find themselves years later living and breathing in almost the exact same happy place except this time it is in real life.

Stay focused and stay positive. My life has changed so much in the past year itself, but holding onto the belief in my future is what keeps me going. My goals and my faith outpower the fears of failure and depression.

The Successful man.

I had a talk today with a very wonderful, talented and friendly individual. He is the current store manager of the company that i work for, his name is Tim.

He has traveled the world through and through, and he is a complete well rounded people pleaser. That in fact is a very good thing when you are a manager, because of many crucial reasons most of which are obvious. Of coarse you also need a strong personality and character to go along with it which is certainly possesses and which in turn makes him one of the best people, and more so one of the best managers i have ever had the chance to work for. He knows what he wants and how he is going to achieve it, and he not only thinks like this for himself but also his team.

Regardless of only knowing him for a few weeks, i have gotten to know quite a lot about him through visual observation and the way he talks and carries himself. During my short talk today with him, i found out a very key factor into making him such of a successful person.

I brought up my life and how i put so much importance into starting conversation with strangers and people during events and important places; and so the topic of getting references was brought up to which i contributed my thoughts of always being friendly and showcasing your intelligence no matter who you are talking to because you never know who that stranger might work for or know.

So in return he said that references are very important and I added that "yes, that's how i plan on getting to places in my life, that's how i think you can get very important jobs without even having to apply for them". In reply he said something that i will probably never forget, which was that "Well all the jobs i have gotten in my life have been through references, except one." To my amazement it just completely overwhelmed me with ideas and thoughts, this very successful and educated man, who is by the looks of it, is approaching his 40's and he has so far probably had more than 10 jobs and attaining so many key positions solely through references and a killer interview with of coarse an appropriate Resume is just eye opening.

Especially for me because i always thought that "Hey, references are important but they aren't that special", but there i was re-evaluating my ideas and just contemplating all the possibilities and potential i could attain if i played my cards right with my future interactions with people.

I mean i already found something good, a customer i was helping struck a conversation with me and in a light hearted mood asked me if i had any words of wisdom, so me being myself told him a couple of important things very quickly, he latched onto some and told me that i had great potential to be a good and helpful person. So i told him that i planned on choosing public speaking and a motivational coaching for my career to which he simply gave me his name and told me to go to this meeting of individuals from all sorts of places who want to learn, practice and better themselves in the art of public speaking. This meeting is very low key, to the point where it was happening right across my neighborhood and i didn't even know. But from my expectations i certainly believe that a lot of people from corporate jobs will come there, and that in itself is a platform for me to showcase my talent.

So lesson learned from today is that you don't always need a fancy degree or a ton of experience to get a high key job, all you will need is a reference from a person who has been delighted to have met you and to have had the chance to have a little chat with you. Oh and being a people pleaser is not a bad thing as it can get you a lot of important friends and most of them turning into references, but the key to being a successful people pleaser is to always have a strong character and a bold attitude so you don't become a push around and actually get the most out of your efforts. So my advice would be to always keep your head up and always keep believing in yourself, as you never know when the next amazing opportunity will arise.

Dream big, aim high, but start small, keep your head up high and keep steady grinding. Stay strong and stay blessed!
