The Successful man.

I had a talk today with a very wonderful, talented and friendly individual. He is the current store manager of the company that i work for, his name is Tim.

He has traveled the world through and through, and he is a complete well rounded people pleaser. That in fact is a very good thing when you are a manager, because of many crucial reasons most of which are obvious. Of coarse you also need a strong personality and character to go along with it which is certainly possesses and which in turn makes him one of the best people, and more so one of the best managers i have ever had the chance to work for. He knows what he wants and how he is going to achieve it, and he not only thinks like this for himself but also his team.

Regardless of only knowing him for a few weeks, i have gotten to know quite a lot about him through visual observation and the way he talks and carries himself. During my short talk today with him, i found out a very key factor into making him such of a successful person.

I brought up my life and how i put so much importance into starting conversation with strangers and people during events and important places; and so the topic of getting references was brought up to which i contributed my thoughts of always being friendly and showcasing your intelligence no matter who you are talking to because you never know who that stranger might work for or know.

So in return he said that references are very important and I added that "yes, that's how i plan on getting to places in my life, that's how i think you can get very important jobs without even having to apply for them". In reply he said something that i will probably never forget, which was that "Well all the jobs i have gotten in my life have been through references, except one." To my amazement it just completely overwhelmed me with ideas and thoughts, this very successful and educated man, who is by the looks of it, is approaching his 40's and he has so far probably had more than 10 jobs and attaining so many key positions solely through references and a killer interview with of coarse an appropriate Resume is just eye opening.

Especially for me because i always thought that "Hey, references are important but they aren't that special", but there i was re-evaluating my ideas and just contemplating all the possibilities and potential i could attain if i played my cards right with my future interactions with people.

I mean i already found something good, a customer i was helping struck a conversation with me and in a light hearted mood asked me if i had any words of wisdom, so me being myself told him a couple of important things very quickly, he latched onto some and told me that i had great potential to be a good and helpful person. So i told him that i planned on choosing public speaking and a motivational coaching for my career to which he simply gave me his name and told me to go to this meeting of individuals from all sorts of places who want to learn, practice and better themselves in the art of public speaking. This meeting is very low key, to the point where it was happening right across my neighborhood and i didn't even know. But from my expectations i certainly believe that a lot of people from corporate jobs will come there, and that in itself is a platform for me to showcase my talent.

So lesson learned from today is that you don't always need a fancy degree or a ton of experience to get a high key job, all you will need is a reference from a person who has been delighted to have met you and to have had the chance to have a little chat with you. Oh and being a people pleaser is not a bad thing as it can get you a lot of important friends and most of them turning into references, but the key to being a successful people pleaser is to always have a strong character and a bold attitude so you don't become a push around and actually get the most out of your efforts. So my advice would be to always keep your head up and always keep believing in yourself, as you never know when the next amazing opportunity will arise.

Dream big, aim high, but start small, keep your head up high and keep steady grinding. Stay strong and stay blessed!

Millionaire.

Continuations of the excerpt from Unlimited power by Anthony Robbins.

Lets look at this from another direction. Let's say you begin with great expectations. More than exceptions- you believe with every fiber of your being that you will succeed. Starting with that direct, clear communication of what you know to be true, how much of your potential will you use? Probably a good deal. What kind of actions are you going to take this time? Are you going to drag yourself and take a halfhearted shot at it? Of coarse not! You're excited, you're energized, you have great expectations of success, you're going to go great guns. If you put out that sort of effort, what sort of results will be generated? Chances are they'll be pretty good. And what does that do to your belief in your ability to produce great results in the future? It's the opposite of the vicious cycle. In this case, success feeds on success and generates more success, and each success creates more belief and momentum to succeed on an even higher scale.

Do resourceful people screw up? sure they do. Do affirmative belief guarantee results every time? Of coarse not. If anyone tell you he's got a magic formula to guarantee perpetual, flawless success, you'd best grab your wallet and waling in the opposite direction. But history has shown time and again that if people maintain the belief systems that empower them, they'll keep coming back with enough action and enough resourcefulness to succeed eventually. Abraham Lincoln lost some important elections, but he continued to believe in his ability to succeed in the long term. He allowed himself to be empowered by success, and he refused to be cower by his failures. His belief system was geared toward excellence, and he finally achieved it. When he did he changed the history of his country forever.

It's not necessary to have a tremendous belief or attitude about something in order to succeed. Sometimes people produce outstanding results simply because they don't now something is difficult or impossible. Sometimes just not having a limiting belief is enough. For example, there is a story of a young man who fell asleep during a math class. He woe up as the bell rang, looked up at the blackboard, and copied the two problems that were there. He assumed they were the homework for the night. He went home and labored all day and night.

He couldn't figure out either one, but he kept trying for the rest of the week. Finally, he got the answer to one and brought it to class. The teacher was absolutely stunned. It turned out the problem he'd solved was supposedly unsolvable. If the student had known that, he probably wouldn't have solved it. But since he didn't tell himself it couldn't be done-in fact, quite the opposite: he'd thought he had to solve it, and he was able to find a way to do it.

Basically you have the power control success within yourself and the simple idea is that if you believe something is achievable and genuinely put in the effort towards and upon that ignore all the negatives in life which could hinder your progress, then essentially the arrival of  success in your life is imminent. This idea is what i stress the most about in my posts here, you control your future, its up to you to turn it towards greatness or failure!

Quotes:

Achieve.

You should go by everyday gaining an ounce of inspiration by almost every action you do. You should be in a state where you are constantly gaining. All you need is the correct mentality to turn anything into a philosophical lesson.

Wisdom is a powerful tool that can & will put you miles ahead of any competition you might have. Wisdom is the factor that separates the average from the successful. Wisdom is what gives you strength when you feel like everything in your life is going against you. Wisdom is the power to see through the negative fog of life and find the silver lining to almost any situation.

This is life is under our control, why should we let the negative parts of it push us around. It's our responsibility to keep this ship stable, having no plan B we sail through this unpredictable sea called life.

Keeping your head up, and being in a constant learning process will be what motivates you the most. Having inspirations, having mentors; physical and non-physical, will be what guides you the most.
Surrounding yourself with people who are on your level and above you will be what keeps you going, endlessly.

This blog isn't a quick fix for anything, it's constant learning guide. A guide for myself as i type these words, and a thought provoking presence as you read these words.

Whatever is happening in your life, it will get better, and if you don't trust me on that then trust yourself after all you have gone through difficult periods throughout your life which were quickly overcome by easier and enjoyable periods. And that my friend is a seamless transition, so for the time being while you are in a struggle keep your head up, it will soon be over and with tomorrow like how the new sun rises again, your dreams, ambitions and goals will all get a much needed refreshment. And all you need to do to help yourself out is to believe, believe in your power and ability to make anything possible!

It's all achievable, keep up the hard work and the fruits of your efforts will come!

It's Possible.

Snap out of it. This life is in your hands, all these minutes and hours you waste on procrastinating and doing non productive tasks are only holding you back from living the life that you dream of!

As much as entertainment is important to keep a human sane, that does not give you the license to watch tv for more than 1 hour a day and that includes any time you spend on playing video games.

Yes, i know the concept of some games is just so addictive that you can't get out of it, so here's the advice that will work if you really want to be 100% productive and if you are willing to get on my version of a successful life.

Here's how you break the actual routine that allows the negative habit to grow.

If you always find yourself on the sofa after coming home from school or work playing video game or watching that show. Then the solution would be to not come home at all after school for an hour, go to a library or to a cafe and study or read a book instead, meet a friend at an outdoor place, anything productive that doesn't involve you looking at a glowing screen will work.

Identify your weak points at this moment in life, things that you desperately need to work on. This could be your grades in school, or your body image. The idea is to replace that neutral action of watching TV or playing a game with an action, more so a habit, that gives you back the energy you invest in it.

This could be physical one or one that is more mental. Personally i believe the best way would be to combine the both, if i was coming home and watching TV after school then i would not come home at all and go running after school and then chill at the library until i was done with my homework.

You see, my belief is to view home as a place of shelter. You need a shelter when its not safe outside, a place to sleep in, more so a safe place that exists for you to come to whenever you feel threatened.

You home is a safe place, and if you spend all your life in a safe place then you will miss out on the whole world which is going past you every second.

So my point is that your home should only be for sleeping, occasional eating, and stocking up your valuables. You should be spending a maximum of 8-10 hours a day at home, and for the busy go getters it should be down to 6-8 hours.

Meaning almost all your awakened time is spent outside the house, and that my friend is how you excel at learning and gaining crucial experience. Experience to put your ahead of your competition, not only now but also years from now.

Don't be a afraid to take a shower at a place that's not your house, don't be afraid to have a few changes of clothes in your car. Be prepared for anything, trust me if you spend most of your time wanting success then this is just a small price you will be paying for something so amazing.

So make your struggle tougher, and the victory will be sweeter. The harder you work, more you will shine!

This life is yours, you can excel at it as a winner, or you can shamelessly parade yourself as an ignorant loser.

Kill them with Success!

Money doesn't define success, happiness does. And true happiness is when you work hard and reap the fruits of your efforts.

The formula is simple, the harder you work for your cause the more enjoyable and satisfying the reward will feel. Working hard is defined by giving the cause your mental, physical, and a bit of emotional investment. That is the recipe for determination, when all three of those things are aligned in the same direction there is literally nothing which will feel impossible for you.

Your goal should be to get to the point where you are constantly being pushed forward by your determination. There's a popular saying "Goals so big that you can't achieve it until you grow into the person who can". Many ways you can cook up this determination, I'll tell you one today, firstly print off a single picture that sums up the result all your goals put into one picture, and put it somewhere in your room where you will see it every single day. And each day find 2 minutes to just sit quietly in front of that picture and visualize it, how it would feel, how it would sound and how it would look as if you were really there. Breathe in deeply every 5 seconds during these 2 minutes, until you get into the rhythm of it. This will help you focus deeper into the visualization, giving it more value. And once you are done, tell yourself in your own way that "There is nothing out there that can stop me from getting that life if i work hard enough. I believe in myself to achieve anything I put my body and mind to, I can do this, and I won't stop until i get it!". Again deep breathing is important to keep you away from distraction.

Remember the only way you will able to truly be this amazing beast who can do anything He/She puts their mind to is when every single bone in your body, every single bit of the being you are wants it bad enough. You need to make a plan on a piece of paper, you need to make a map on how you are going to achieve your goals, research, ask people, and then make a well thought out but rough plan on how it will be done and post it in your room. This will be your guide, set by set cross each part of the plan off as you achieve it.

You want to put more details into the immediate future in the plan and less details into the far out future, that way you are crossing stuff out as fast as once a week at least, so you are interacting with your plan regularly. That way when one section of it is done, sit back down and put details into the next phase of the plan and so on.

Listen, anybody can achieve success. I believe in you, and so do so many other people who know the true capability of a human being. All you have to do is put down the unproductive things that take up your time without giving much back, and get your life together. Start with becoming organized, and end with functioning at the top of your game, looks wise, actions wise and more importantly mentally. This life is yours, don't gamble on it, as death maybe near, so work every single day on achieving success and leaving behind a legacy, your legacy!
